This notebook, DII:1a in the Swedish Cyprus Expedition archive at Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, is Erik Sjöqvist's diary of the excavation of the prehistoric cemetery at Vrysi tou Barba, Lapithos. His title page reads "Diary of the excavations in the prehistoric necropolis at Vrysi tou Barba, Lapithos, September–November 1927". It was the expedition's first season: the dated entries run from 29 September to late November 1927.

The diary begins with trial pits along a terrace wall, some of which turned out to be wells or bothroi, and then follows each tomb as it was opened, with sketched plans: dromos and chamber, the fill, skeletons and their positions, and numbered find lists giving each jug, bowl, pin or dagger with its height, diameter or length. The diary uses field numbers for the tombs; the published report, which counts twenty-three tombs, numbers them 301–323. At the back are a tally of photographic negatives and the weekly accounts for baskets, carpenters and carbide. The text is in Swedish.
