Grave 22 α

17/11- 19/11 The chamber is cleared out by machine in full and freed from rock fall and laspi. These layers are drawn in and levelled in. They are naturally entirely without finds, apart from a larger number of human bones lying scattered on and just below the surface of the clay layer. These can approximately be estimated to have belonged to 5 - 6 skeletons. The structure of the chamber is unique and impressive. It is regularly oval-shaped and provided with five uniform niches, all of which lie at c. 1 m. height above the floor surface. They are numbered from north to south 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Niche no. 6 lies at floor level below and between nos. 4 and 5. This concerns the construction.
