DII:1d is the second notebook Erik Sjöqvist kept in 1928; the cover names him and calls it "book no. II". It covers the autumn campaign on the western acropolis of Idalion, which resumed on 4 September 1928, and then the work at Plakes, Lapithos, in October and November. The first entry explains that the earlier diary had been left behind at Machairas, so the last find number was unknown and the new register starts at no. 1000.

The Idalion pages record the cross trenches and the strips opened beside them: each layer described and numbered, the removal of washed-down earth, the charcoal layer against a wall, and finds entered with their levels. The Lapithos section describes the excavation of the settlement at Plakes, where the dromos of tomb 602 had cut through the occupation layers, and the three tombs 601–603. It ends with a written account of the settlement, its floors and its plan. The text is in Swedish.
