History
- 1946Claude Schaeffer resumed excavation at Enkomi after the war, now working on behalf of the CNRS; he found part of the Cyclopean enclosing wall in the south.
- 30 July 1951The joint Franco-Cypriot agreement at Enkomi ended at Schaeffer's request, mainly over disagreement about the chronology of the urban phase; the French team had begun work in 1949-50.
- 1959–1961Schaeffer continued the Enkomi excavations on behalf of the CNRS: buildings along the north-south street, a fertility sanctuary, ashlar building, copper-smelting workshops (1961).
- June 1970First campaign of a CNRS mission at Cape Andreas-Kastros (aceramic Neolithic), directed by J. Perrot, fieldwork by Alain Le Brun, within Perrot and de Contenson's research on early sedentary villages.

- 1976–1995Le Brun's Khirokitia excavations continued under CNRS auspices; seven levels identified in the eastern sector, three phases of enclosure wall, and a second parallel wall.
