    Sale of the antiquities Cesnola found in 1868, 'Antiquites chypriotes provenant de fouilles faites en 1868 par M. Cesnola', catalogue by W. Froehner, H. Hoffmann expert. Buyers included the Louvre (inventory N 3519-3532), Louis de Clercq, Alexandre Bertrand (MAN 15132-15169), provincial museums and dealers. A second sale planned for 1871 did not take place.

    Sale of the collection of J. M. Albert Barre (Greek antiquities, Tanagra terracottas, Cypriot pottery and glass), Froehner's catalogue, Hoffmann sale. Alessandro Castellani bought three Black-on-Red flasks there in 1878; they reached the Lyon museum with his estate in 1884.

    Sale of the antiquities from Ohnefalsch-Richter's excavations at Polis tis Chrysochou (Arsinoe): 'Catalogue des objets antiques trouves a Arsinoe de Chypre', Delestre and Hoffmann. A painted vase signed Hermaios reached 4,900 francs. Reinach regretted the dispersal of the Arsinoe finds.

    Sale of a Hoffmann-expert collection of antiquities (glass, marbles, bronzes, pottery) whose Cypriot terracottas were later published from the sale catalogue, nos. 31-146.

    Sale of the Cypriot collection of the former French consul at Larnaca (Boysset; written Boisse in the Melbourne and Berkeley catalogues), 'Collection formee en Chypre', dealer V. Raymond Serrure. The Sevres museum was the chief bidder; a figurine entered as lot 3 was bought by the Louvre for 46 francs but never accessioned by it. Berkeley and Melbourne bought through a Paris representative.
