Sites: Palaepaphos, Salamis, Nea Paphos-Tombs of the Kings, Skouriotissa, Soli, Kourion

Forty-one photographs from four family and holiday albums of the 1920s and 1930s. The Jackson Family Collection (1923–1924) belonged to Charles Freedman Jackson, director of the Skouriotissa mines, who lived with his wife Ruby in the Skouriotissa monastery complex; its photographs show the family beside a newly found column near the monastery and old mine workings that the album calls Roman, the Cyprus Museum in 1923, and their outings of 1924 to Salamis, Kourion, Kouklia and Bellapais.

The collection of Sir Herbert Henniker-Heaton, Colonial Secretary of Cyprus from 1929 to 1934, was given to CVAR by his granddaughter Susan Cameron. Its prints of the 1930s show the rooms of the Cyprus Museum and visitors looking at the antiquities, Salamis, the theatre at Soli, an excavation and a photographer at work. "A Holiday Album: Cyprus in the 1930s" has the doorway of the first Cyprus Museum on Victoria Street in Nicosia and a walk through the ruins of the sanctuary of Aphrodite at Palaepaphos. The undated album of Sir Joseph and Lady Hutchinson, with handwritten captions, shows the same sanctuary and the rock-cut Tombs of the Kings at Nea Paphos.
