Palaepaphos: large dressed stone blocks among ruins
Description
Massive rectangular limestone blocks form a stacked pile in the centre of the view, with smaller blocks beside and below it. In the foreground a large slab lies tilted over fallen rubble and low dry shrubs. Flat open land and a distant horizon fill the background under a pale sky.
English
Large dressed limestone blocks are stacked and scattered across the ground at Palaepaphos, Kouklia. Some blocks sit in a tiered pile while others lie tilted in the foreground amid low scrub.
