- 1988With Vassos Karageorghis (then Director of Antiquities) and John Walsh (Director, Getty Museum), proposed the collaborative GCI/Department of Antiquities project on mosaic conservation at Paphos (1988-89), which produced the Orpheus mosaic conservation.

- October 1988Geza von Habsburg telephoned her to offer the Kanakaria mosaic pieces to the Getty for $20 million; Hofstadter writes that she had excellent relations with Karageorghis, warned Habsburg of possible flaws in the seller's title and notified Cyprus that four Early Christian works had suspiciously appeared on the market.
