    Kazimierz Michałowski creates the Centre in Cairo as the Polish Centre of Archaeology of the University of Warsaw.

    First excavations at Nea Paphos, locality Maloutena, under Michałowski: a large structure with a reservoir, a house with plastered walls, a Hellenistic drain, marble sculptures (Asklepios, Artemis and a Satyr) and a hoard of thirteen silver coins of Alexander the Great.

  3. 1973
    Ninth campaign (17 September-17 November) under Daszewski: the palace baths completely cleared, a well and cistern explored (the palace is the Villa of Theseus).

  4. 1981–1985
    Polish mission under Daszewski continues work on the Roman palace known as the House of Theseus at Maloutena (complex c. 120 x 90 m round a porticoed court).

    Excavation continues at Maloutena under Daszewski (then of the University of Trier); three buildings: Villa of Aion, House of Theseus and a Hellenistic building; a mint for Ptolemaic coins also uncovered.

    Extension of the Late Hellenistic two-storey building to the SW brings new third-century Roman mosaics, one showing Aphrodite with a spear.

    Daszewski's directorship ends; Ewdoksia Papuci-Władyka worked with the mission until 2010, first under Daszewski (to 2007) and then with Henryk Meyza.

    After agreement with Department of Antiquities director Maria Hadjicosti, Papuci-Władyka of the Jagiellonian University receives a licence for the Agora of Nea Paphos (Paphos Agora Project, a separate Kraków mission, 2011-2015 first phase).
