History

  1. 2010
    Ewdoksia Papuci-Władyka, after working with the Warsaw mission from 1984 to 2010, decides to create her own mission on behalf of the Jagiellonian University; after initial agreements with Maria Hadjicosti, then director of the Department of Antiquities, she obtains the first excavation licence for the Agora of Nea Paphos

  2. 2011–2015
    Paphos Agora Project (PAP) excavations at the Agora of Nea Paphos, focused on the East Portico, the centre of the square, the southern entrance and the south-eastern corner; funded by Polish National Science Centre grants OPUS 2011/01/B/HS3/01282 and MAESTRO 2014/14/A/HS3/00283. Over the five years about 120 students and volunteers and over 60 specialists took part; the project is a compulsory field exercise for JU Institute of Archaeology students
