    Professor Wallengren of Lund, with Professor Palmgren of Stockholm, examined the animal bones from the Swedish Cyprus Expedition's excavations (acknowledged in SCE I, 1934).

    Martin P. Nilsson (Lund) published a paper on a Cypro-Mycenaean vase scene in the Bulletin de la Société Royale des Lettres de Lund 1932-33, pp. 29 ff., cited by Gjerstad in SCE I. Nilsson also sat on the Swedish Cyprus Committee.

    Professor Carl M. Fürst of Lund examined the Swedish Cyprus Expedition's skeletal material and published the results as Zur Kenntnis der Anthropologie der prähistorischen Bevölkerung der Insel Cypern (Lund 1933, Lunds Universitets Årsskrift N.F. Avd. 2, 29 no. 6). Dikaios later cites it for Sotira.

    Einar Gjerstad became professor of classical archaeology at Lund (1940-1957), then research professor (1957-1972), after the Swedish Institute in Rome directorship (1935-40). OEANE counts 25 years (1923-1948) of his career as devoted mostly to Cypriot archaeology.

    Lena Åström studied under Gjerstad at Lund from the early 1950s; Gjerstad proposed the Late Cypriote gold and silver for her licentiate, which grew into a doctoral thesis on all Late Cypriote non-pottery material, Studies on the Arts and Crafts of the Late Cypriote Bronze Age (Lund 1967), defended 18 May 1967 with Dikaios as opponent.
