Max Ohnefalsch-Richter's opening of tombs in the Idalion necropolis in 1885 for Dr. Dümmler, with finds that went to the Cyprus Museum and were later dispersed.
The project
In 1885 Max Ohnefalsch-Richter opened tombs in the necropolis of Idalion for Dr. Dümmler1. The finds went to the Cyprus Museum, and the museum's catalogue of 1899, by J. L. Myres and M. Ohnefalsch-Richter, says they had since been dispersed; where they are now is not recorded1.
