Black-On-Red Globular Jug
Large pottery jug in Black-on-Red ware; wheel-made; globular body on a ring base; tall narrow neck with a trefoil mouth; double-rib handle from shoulder to rim; buff clay and lustrous red slip, decorated in matt black paint: large bands of concentric lines on each side of the body framing a central bull's eye motif surrounded by smaller groups of concentrics, a horizontal band of concentric lines runs around the shoulder, below the spout in the resultant frame is a motif of three intersecting lines surrounded by small groups of concentrics, bands on the neck, ladder pattern on the neck.
