Description

A large square excavated pit dominates the foreground, its earthen sides cut in steps, with a small vessel set into the wall at left. Behind it a low stone wall runs along the right, a light-clothed person sits on it, and a dark-clothed figure crouches at the far left beside a pickaxe. A small upright marker stands among stones in the middle distance, with low hills behind.
