Description

Three men sit on wooden chairs on a stone-paved veranda with whitewashed walls, a beamed ceiling and a hanging lantern. One rests an arm on a small wooden table, the seated men look toward the camera, and a man in a waistcoat sits at the right edge beside a wooden crate. Several blurred figures sit and walk along the veranda in the background.

Description, scan 2: Three men sit on wooden chairs on a stone-floored veranda, the man on the left with a moustache and the man on the right partly cut off at the frame edge. Behind them a white wall has an open doorway and a shuttered window, and a beamed roof with a hanging lantern shades the veranda. Several more people sit and stand further back along the veranda, and a plain chair stands at the far left.
