A man in a white headcloth, light shirt and dark baggy trousers stands at right holding a metal container, beside a long stone water trough. A boy stands among a large flock of goats on the left, many with curved horns. Behind them a dry plain rises to a hillside marked with striped rows of plants.

A large flock of goats, some dark and some pale, gathers beside a rectangular stone trough, and a second person stands at the left among them. A bare hillside with rows of marks rises across the background, and a small clay jug and a stick lie on the dry ground.
