Life and work
- 1873Wrote the introduction 'The Antiquities discovered in Cyprus by General di Cesnola' to the folio album The Antiquities of Cyprus (36 photographs by Stephen Thompson, selected by C. T. Newton, printed by W. A. Mansell and Co., London); the antiquities were exhibited by Rollin and Feuardent at 61 Great Russell Street. His text says the collection was 'purchased for the sum of 10,000 pounds by the trustees of the Metropolitan Museum of New York'.
