  5. 1977
Published 'The Amathus shield-boss rediscovered and the Amathus bowl reconsidered' (RDAC 1977, 157-169), printing part of a Cesnola letter to Birch. Masson (1990) says he interpolated the text and wrongly called G. Colonna-Ceccaldi 'a local banker and Cesnola's agent'. Barnett held that the Amathus digging was done by the young Colonna Ceccaldi, not Cesnola.
