    Published at Bologna the Chorograffia, et breve historia universale dell'isola de Cipro principiando al tempo di Noè per in sino al 1572 (title as given in City of Gold; Cobham's Excerpta Cypria prints 'Cliorograffia et breve Historia universale delV Isola de Cipro per il R.     In the Chorograffia he records tomb-digging at Kouklia: 'si ritrovano molte anticaglie, et cose preciose nelle sepolture di essi antichi ... non è da quattro anni, over sei, che hanno trovato un Rè quasi intiero'. Maier calls this the earliest unambiguous record of digging at Couvoucle and notes that Lusignan does not expressly mention the sanctuary.

    According to Life and Deeds, he notes in the Chorograffia that the first organised excavations in Cyprus were made under Venetian rule.
