    Flinders Petrie holds the Edwards Chair of Egyptology at University College (Egyptian Cypriot finds from his sites are recorded in letters to the British Museum).

    Vassos Karageorghis studies Classics at UCL; Joan du Plat Taylor's advice led him there. He also took practical archaeology courses at the Institute of Archaeology (Verulamium with Wheeler) and later took his PhD on Mycenaean pictorial pottery as an external University of London student.

    Robert Merrillees completes his PhD at the Institute of Archaeology on Bronze Age Cypriot pottery found in Egypt (Kiely lists this under UCL).

    Nicolas Coldstream is Yates Professor of Classical Art and Archaeology at UCL (chair formerly held by Charles Newton), teaching Cypriot archaeology including an MA; his retirement in 1992 ended an era, but UCL kept welcoming Cypriot students.
