Description:

Pottery jar in a variant of White Painted or Plain White ware; wheel-made; ovoid, slightly biconical body on a disc base; wide conical neck with a thick chamfered lip; pair of large opposing loop handles; rather coarse orange-buff clay with small inclusions, decorated with bands of red slip on the body, clumsily applied; surface heavily encrusted in places.
