Description:

Pottery jug in White Painted ware; wheel-made; ovoid body on a disc base (the centre filled in with a modern repair); short narrow neck and a trefoil mouth; arching handle from shoulder to rim; buff clay and cream-white slip, decorated in matt black paint: narrow bands on the body and neck, solid paint on foot, zig-zag decoration on the handle; base chipped and surface abraded and encrusted.
