Description: | Terracotta female figure holding infant; Base Ring II ware; hand-made; hollow construction; originally two double pierced ears with hanging circular ear-rings, one ear broken off and only a single ear-ring preserved; beak-shaped nose, now broken, and applied pellets for eyes; small head with elongated neck widening to broad, flattened oval hips and tapering to small feet; arms sticking out at angle to body and hands clasped together, holding the infant lying horizontal; incised detail of strokes and punctures on pubic triangle, lower neck and chest area, toes and fingers.
