Description

Several pottery vessels lie close together in the soil of an excavated trench, some broken and partly covered by earth. A vessel with a ring-shaped mouth stands among jugs and fragments, and a broad flat sherd or dish lies at the right. Above them the cut face shows horizontal soil layers, and a pale flat stone ledge runs across the foreground.
