Description

Rough stone walls of an excavated area run across the frame, with a tall rectangular block of masonry in the centre. A man in a light shirt, trousers and wide-brimmed hat stands in the gap at right, one arm resting on a wall. Earth heaps lie behind, and a hillside and cultivated fields stretch to the distant hills on the right.
