Stones at Idalion Acropolis during excavation

Description
A tall vertical face of compacted, pebbly soil forms the back of an excavation trench. Rough stones and flat slabs lie in the foreground, with a pale slab partly embedded at the base of the soil face. On the right, a wall of stacked flat stones rises beside the trench, and a thin vertical post stands at the top edge.
