Expedition member and archaeologist, active 1979–1994. Excavated at Kalavasos-Tenta. Worked with John Gifford and Stuart Swiny; wrote with A. Bernard Knapp.

    In the second Sotira-Kaminoudhia season (July-August 1983; excavation under S. Swiny, research project directed by G. Rapp, sponsored by CAARI) archaeological and geological reconnaissance was done by S. Held and J. Gifford; the archaeological survey directed by S. Held covered a 1 km radius round the site and studied contemporary vegetation, soil exploitation and soil nature.
