Cypriot numismatist and collector, active 1970–2014. Worked with Eleanor Stewart; wrote with D. M. Metcalf and Maria Iacovou.

    Powell cites him as remembering Eve Stewart's brief 1981 visit to Cyprus to work in the museum (personal communication, 2010).

    After many years, offered to help Eve Stewart tidy her late husband Jim Stewart's long-neglected manuscript on the Lusignan coinage.

    Co-published with D. M. Metcalf 'Islamic and Byzantine coins in Cyprus during the condominium centuries' (Epetiris tou Kentrou Epistimonikon Ereunon 21); a second joint paper on further finds followed in 1997 and a note on an Islamic copper coin in Numismatic Report 28-30 (1997-9).

  4. 2000–2001
    Published a hoard of 6th-century Byzantine coins from Mazotos, Larnaca district (Numismatic Report 31-2, 2000-1, 25-32).

  5. 2012–2014
    Owned the Middle Byzantine copper-alloy dish (the 'A. Pitsillides Collection') that was examined and photographed by the author of the Balance of Empires chapter, who thanks 'Mr. Pitsillides' for sharing his knowledge of the treasure; Kassianidou did the compositional analysis in an appendix.
