    Saul Weinberg carries out trials 'for the University of Missouri' at Phaneromeni near Episkopi: Early Cypriot II and III houses and an EC II cemetery of a dozen chamber tombs with an unusual dromos-corridor over 9 m long. Megaw had announced the plan in 1954 and notes larger areas hoped for in 1957.

    David Soren's seasons at the Sanctuary of Apollo Hylates, Kourion, reported by Karageorghis as carried out by the University of Missouri (Soren) alongside D. Buitron (Walters Art Gallery); the architect J. Rutherford (Boston) worked on the mission 1980-81. A later chronique credits Soren to the University of Arizona.

    Danielle Parks directs three seasons at the Amathus Gate cemetery, Kourion: Roman chamber tombs, 4th-century quarrying, and 4th-6th century cist graves (14 excavated in 1997, minimum 63 individuals); mapping and survey by Michael Given (Glasgow).
