    Paul Åström's own publishing house in Gothenburg issued Studies in Mediterranean Archaeology (SIMA) and its Corpus of Cypriote Antiquities and pocket-book series, the standard venue for Cypriot corpora and excavation reports (e.g. Hala Sultan Tekke 1, 1976; Benson's Kaloriziki, 1973).

    Paul Åström of Göteborg University excavated the Late Bronze Age harbour town of Hala Sultan Tekke, near Larnaca, from 1973 (small-scale and sporadic in the decade before 1995); the Chronique and Archaeological Reports note a ground-penetrating radar survey in 1980 and a copper workshop and probable sanctuary at Vyzakia.
