The Cypriot collection
an 'umfangreicher Bestand' of stone sculpture, ceramics (Early Cypriot to Cypro-Classical) and terracottas; the Leipzig Weisbach/Ohnefalsch-Richter collection, originally about 1,800 objects, has been in the museum since 1992. Recke gives no total object count for the museum itself. (2012)

- 1896Ferdinand Dümmler gives pottery from Agia Paraskevi in the Karpas to the museum.

- 1896The Berlin banker Valentin Weisbach buys Max Ohnefalsch-Richter's whole private collection. Recke notes that this sale ended the supply of large lots from Cyprus to German buyers.
- 1898Weisbach gives his Cypriot collection to the Museum für Völkerkunde in Leipzig, at Ohnefalsch-Richter's urging. This is the collection that reaches the Berlin museum in 1992.

- 1987–1988The East Berlin Museum für Deutsche Geschichte shows 'Zyprische Altertümer' in several Polish cities, mostly pieces of the Weisbach/Ohnefalsch-Richter collection; the further Eastern Bloc venues planned were dropped, and it was seen in Bad Frankenhausen.
