History
- 1962–1964After James Stewart's death his widow Eve sold his library to the Fisher Library. Stewart had often wished the Fisher to inherit it, but death duties meant it had to be sold. Alexander Cambitoglou had earlier raised with Eve's lawyer the possibility of buying the library and coin collection. The sale was the easiest of Eve's duties; the new University Librarian Harrison Bryan took up post in 1963.
