Bichrome Red Plant Jar

Description:

Pottery jar in Bichrome Red ware; wheelmade; ovoid body on a ring base; wide conical neck, with a thick rounded rim; pair of opposing handles set horizontally at the shoulder. Made of buff clay covered in a red slip, overlain with black and white on the neck and body, and with three large plant motifs in white on each side of the body. Painted decoration is damaged in a number of places.
