Large pottery bowl or dish in Bichrome ware; wheel-made; wide, relatively deep body on a low ring base; inverted rim; two small ribbon handles; buff-pink clay and slip, decorated with black and red paint: concentric bands around the outside of the body framing a frieze of stylised lotus flower; central rosette and bands within.
