Description:

Pottery jug in Black-on-Red ware; wheel-made; globular-biconical body on a flat base; narrow necl and trefoil spout; small arching handle from shoulder to rim; made from buff clay with a brownish-red slip, decorated with black paint: parallel lines on the body, single bands on the base of the neck and on the mouth, eyes on the spout, ladder pattern on the handle; the vessel is slightly dented, possibly in firing, and its surface is worn.
