Description: | Pottery barrel juglet in Black-on-Red ware; wheel-made; elongated body with rounded ends; narrow neck with a flaring trumpet mouth; neck ridge; pair of opposing handles arching from shoulder to below neck ridge; made of fine buff clay covered with a dark reddish-orange lustrous slip, decorated with black paint: bands of concentric lines with solid borders around the body, framing a dart motif under the handles, bands around the neck, ladder pattern on the handles; surface shows signs of burning or perhaps over-firing.
