Idalion Acropolis

Description
A view down into a narrow excavated trench between two walls built of stone blocks laid in courses. Flat stone slabs lie on the trench floor and on a ledge partway down, and a metal bucket sits on the wall top at the upper left. Loose pale earth from the dig forms a spoil heap along the foreground edge.
