Description

Looking down into an excavated trench against a wall of rough stone blocks. Two broken pottery vessels lie in the soil at upper left, one a shallow bowl and the other a jar with its upper part broken away. Pale wooden boards cross the dark cut in the middle of the picture, and the dry, dusty ground surrounds them.
