Life and work

  1. 15 June 1882
    With the Cadi and the Mufti, petitioned the High Commissioner, Sir Robert Biddulph, for a government grant to create a museum on the island.

  2. 1889
    As landowner received a share of the objects from Ohnefalsch-Richter's Tamassos excavations for the Berlin Museum, including an iron sword with a gold sword nail (the helmet and mail went to Berlin). He sold his share to the High Commissioner, Sir Henry Bulwer, whose collection was later given to the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge.
