    Wrote to J. Mainwaring Baines, Keeper of Hastings Museum and Art Gallery, about Brassey-collection objects (letter in the Brassey Archives, Hastings Museum).

    Asked by Mainwaring Baines to examine a small group of Brassey objects at Hastings; identified a Bull Figure as 'Cypriot, 1450 BC', one of two heads as Cypriot 4th century BC (the smaller as Sicilian, doubting a Cyprus origin), three dancing figures said to be from Vounous (2000-1800 BC), a plank figure said to be from Kourion, and a horse figurine.

    Suggested the subject of E. S. Goring's research thesis on Late Cypriot gold jewellery; thanked in her acknowledgements ('Dr R Higgins has been my inspiration for many years').
