Life and work
- 1977Published 'A preliminary report on the faunal remains from Late Bronze Age Kouklia, Paphos', RDAC 1977, pp. 261-75; reported a clear diminution of body size in fallow deer between the Early Neolithic and Late Bronze Age (p. 267 n. 1).
- 1989Halstead's fallow-deer size claim is criticised in the Idalion/Dhali volume, whose zooarchaeology chapter says the Kouklia bone details were 'kindly furnished by Mr. P. Halstead' and argues the Kouklia sample is sexually biased toward females.
