II (Nicosia); cited in Life and Deeds for his remark that Demetrios Pierides of Larnaca rendered many services to Cypriot archaeology, and for a judgement of Cesnola ('a general and not an archaeologist').

    Author of a book on Paphos (cited as 'Philippou, Paphos') used by Maier and Karageorghis for Frankish baths at Ktima, the inscription translation and Emba and Khlorakas; Megaw reports that he proposed an Apollo cult for the rock-cut chamber complexes at the north edge of Nea Paphos, resumed in clearance by G. Eliades in 1956.
