- 1967Member of Michael Katzev's Cyprus Underwater Archaeological Search, supervised by George Bass, which surveyed the Akamas and Paphos coasts, Cape Greco and Cape St Andreas and learned of the Kyrenia wreck site at the end of the season (team named with Susan Katzev and E. T. Hall).

- 1969Led the Oxford underwater mission's first season off the Kleides (Klidhes) islands near Cape St Andreas: eight wreck sites located and explored, specimens raised, photographed and deposited in the Cyprus Museum, and over 50 anchors recorded; about a quarter of the sea floor to 50 m explored.

- 1970Second season off the Kleides islands: scattered wrecks recorded, one in 20 m with about 68 Corinthian-type roof tiles and eight joining tiles in a stacked pile (tile area 18 x 8 m, surveyed by probe, metal detector and magnetometer); about 200 anchors recorded.
