    Of the École française d'Athènes; his geophysical prospection at Nea Paphos identified massive walls and determined where a sounding was cut on the axis of construction no. 23 (west part of the palace area). The sounding confirmed a massive west-east wall with a paving of large limestone blocks, though apparently unrelated to room 23; interpretation needs further excavation.
