Life and work

    Co-editor, with M. C. Guidotti and R. Pierobon Benoit, of the Florence exhibition catalogue in honour of P. E. Pecorella, Egeo, Cipro, Siria e Mesopotamia. Dal collezionismo allo scavo archeologico, in which the Florence Cypriot collection was shown; Lo Schiavo's own bronze studies fed the catalogue.

  2. 2007–2010
    Studied the Cypriot bronzes of the Museo Archeologico Nazionale, Florence (collection of 459 Cypriot objects, from Colucci's 1870 gift of 250 pieces and the Cecconi 1902 and Karemfilaki 1903/1906 purchases): a copper tripod stand, whose hemispherical cup was identified by matching inventory numbers, purchase description and dimensions, one of the oldest of its class; a cauldron fragment with bull-protome attachment, near-identical to a fragment of unknown provenance in the Cyprus Museum; a Cypriot 'torciere'; and a fragment of oxhide ingot from the Piazzale dei Sacelli of Haghia Triada, kept in the Aegean collection, which unpublished isotope analyses by Noël Gale attribute to Cypriot copper (LH IIIC).

    Co-editor (with J. D. Muhly, R. Maddin and A. Giumlia-Mair) of Oxhide Ingots in the Central Mediterranean (A. G. Leventis Foundation and CNR Rome); in 2018 co-editor with A. Giumlia-Mair of Bronze Age Metallurgy in the Mediterranean Islands (in honour of Maddin and Karageorghis).
