Numismatist who catalogued the coins of the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation with Lefki Michaelidou, in a 2008 volume that later studies cite for Cypriot coin types.
Biography
Eleni Zapiti catalogued Cypriot coins with Lefki Michaelidou. In 2002 the two wrote the chapter "The Coins" (pp. 316-327) in the catalogue of the George and Nefeli Giabra Pierides collection, which was donated to the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation; a reviewer notes the donation in connection with plans for a new museum1,5.
With Michaelidou she then published Nomismata tes Kyprou in Nicosia in 20078 and, in 2008, Coins of Cyprus from the Collection of the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation2. Later studies of the coinages of Salamis, Paphos, Amathus and Marion cite the 2008 volume for the coin types6,7. In 2013 she published eleven coins of Cleopatra VII from the Foundation's collections in the Cyprus Numismatic Society's Numismatic Report3,9. Her name is also on a conference poster, with Michaelidou and authors from the Cyprus Institute, on a digital library of Cypriot medieval coins10.
