    A young German archaeologist from the University of Tuebingen was reported to be on the Turkish Ankara team digging at Salamis (north); a Cyprus Department of Antiquities-side account of the dig, as reported in CCEC 29.

    Uwe Mueller, teaching at EMU, began a rescue excavation of the Kral Tepesi/Vasili Bronze Age hoard site and brought in a Tuebingen team including M. Bartelheim and E. Pernicka (per Summerer, a party to the dispute). The DoA held the dig illegal.

  5. 2015
    Responding, per Summerer, to the threat of cancelling all German excavation projects in the Republic of Cyprus, the university declared the premature termination of its cooperation with the Kaleburnu/Vasili excavation.
