Description:

Large pottery lekythos or juglet in Black-on-Red ware; wheel-made; tall slightly bulbous body on a low disc base; narrow tubular neck and pinched mouth; double-rib handle from shoulder to rim; orange clay and orange-red slip, decorated in black paint (both slip and paint are very eroded and the paint has fired to a purple or red colour in places): broad and narrow bands around the body, concentric circles on the shoulder.
