Description:

Pottery cup in White Painted ware; wheel-made; carinated lower body with upright, slightly concave sides splaying outwards to a plain rim; splaying conical foot; single vertical strap handle from body to rim; buff-pink clay with buff slip and brown painted decoration: two undulating intersecting wavy lines around the upper body; band around both sides of the rim (mostly missing on outer side); solid paint on foot and handle; single band of brown paint in interior below line of handle; foot chipped, pock marks on exterior surface of vase.
