Black Slip Ovoid Jug
Pottery jug in Black Slip ware; wheel-made; ovoid body on a low ring base; narrow, slightly concave neck with a broad trefoil mouth; single strap handle from shoulder to rim; buff-orange clay covered with a thin matt black slip, decorated with vertical fluting on body beneath a ridged band; surface very worn and calcinated, rim is chipped, slip is much eroded in places.
